The Freeport ODV achieves very high efficiency by circulating the hot flue gases through the heat exchanger three times. Most other residential boilers are designed for only a single or double pass.

The Freeport ODV is designed to maximize heat transfer from flue gases to the boiler water, and to minimize the amount of cast iron and water that must be heated. Interior heat-transfer surfaces are smooth to provide clean combustion and to reduce the build-up of soot deposits. The result of these innovations is that your home gets warm faster and you get the greatest value from you heating dollar.

To maintain that efficiency over years of operation, the CROWN Freeport ODV boiler totally exposes all interior surfaces for service and cleaning through a swinging front door.
